INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
together we can change the world
DRH Lindersvold is an international learning center that facilitates courses in community development and certification in non-traditional pedagogy.
Our school provides an opportunity to learn about the big issues of our time while experiencing community living with people from many different countries and from all walks of life.
At the moment, our programmes where the participants are prepared to assist community-driven projects in Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique or India – are postponed until further notice.

SHORT COURSES
2 – 5 weeks
In the summer months you have the opportunity to join shorter courses where you can experience community life, enjoy the “white nights” of Scandinavia while you immerse yourself in an area of study that interests you.
In the summer of 2021 we offer three intensive courses packed with action and hands-on experiences – a 5-week Theatre Course and some Pedagogy for Change 2-week courses.
Pedagogy for Change
12 months
The Pedagogy for Change programme offers 12 months of training and experiencing the power of pedagogy – while you put your skills and solidarity into action.
Studies and hands-on training takes place in Denmark, where you will work with children and youth at specialised social education facilities or schools with a non-traditional approach to teaching and learning.
VOLUNTEER experiences
"Our main achievement working in the project was the construction of preschools in the area around DAPP college. With fundraising and help from the community, we managed to build 6 structures"
Greta from Italy"This programme gave me an amazing experience. I had the opportunity to learn more about other cultures, how to work in a team and I learned to handle complicated situations and how to deal with them dynamically."
Sara from Italy"I decided to continue working on what I learned from all of the experiences. It was a life-changing experience where I developed myself and discovered what I want to do in the future."

HUMANA PEOPLE TO PEOPLE
The Federation of Humana People to People operates in more than 30+ countries and works to create development through projects within the fields of education, health, community development, agricultural training, relief aid, and income-generating activities. The organization has more than 35 years of experience and are currently working with more than 350 community development projects

Agriculture
The Farmers Club Project: this project promotes climate smart agriculture techniques through demonstration plots. These Demonstration plots are supporting organized groups of 50 farmers to experiment with farming techniques, aiding farmers to take the new knowledge back to their land and increase their crop production.
The clubs also enable farmers to increase their livelihood by selling together as a group; this strengthens farmers ability to negotiate more fair prices while giving them access to potential finances and therefore building their capacity for sustainable agricultural practices.

teacher training
Teacher Training and Preschools: The Teacher training programmes are specifically designed to train teachers for public primary schools, especial in rural areas where there is a need for teachers. The programme strives to offer inspiration, action, research and experimentation, often providing challenging pedagogical routes that serve students, teachers, school institutions and communities alike.

Community Development
The Child Aid Projects: this project supports children, parents and the whole community to work together to improve living conditions for children and create opportunities for them to not only survive but to develop to their full potential. Child Aid is driven by the community and seeks place control of the development processes and decision-making in the hands of the people who are affected.

Health
The Zambian Family Activity Project: this project aims to support orphans and other vulnerable children in Zambia, who are affected by HIV and AIDS. The project aims to improve conditions for children by promoting income-generating activities, giving nutritional help, and supporting children’s education.
